  • June is the peak season of Czech-grown red radish. Widely used raw in cold meals though found in some hot meals as well, this attractive root vegetables is a great source of vitamins, minerals and acids.

    Vegetable salads, which are really popular choice for the upcoming hot summer days, are a frequent and most suitable use of radish, its sharp and zesty taste adding a specific flavour to the salad. The degree of sharpness depends to a large extent on the weather during the growing period; some radish might even lose their particular taste and become more or less waterish.

    The taste of radish comes out in a simple salad with wild rocket and corn salad, hard-boiled quail eggs with olive oil, mustard, honey and mayonnaise dressing. The simplest though extremely delicious recipe is bread with butter, pinch of salt and radish cut into fine slices. Ready in a while, it will seduce you with its wonderful taste.
