In September, grape wine matures, starts to be harvested and, consequently, wine processing begins. Wine, delicious beverage people discovered and grew addiction to already several thousand years ago, deserves to be celebrated, as well as do people putting all their love and care to produce it. Therefore, September provides wine lovers, and not only them, with the possibility of visiting grape harvest or wine festivities organized all over the country. Naturally, most reputed wine celebrations are connected to places of wine production, especially with South Moravia, though wine regions in Bohemia do not lag behind. Besides wine and
burčák, partially fermented grape juice, grape harvest festivities attract for rich accompanying programme, being at the same time characterized by merry atmosphere and celebrations of life. The following are just a few of them. Every year on the second weekend in September people visit
Znojmo Historical Grape Harvest or, in closely located Mikulov,
Pálava Grape Harvest. The same weekend wine will be pouring in
Velké Pavlovice. Between 26 and 28 September, winemaking region in Bohemia organize traditional grape harvest in
Mělník as well as in Prague
Kunratice. Last weekend in September, wine celebrations will take place in Prague at náměstí Míru and in
Grébovka Park (Havlíčkovy sady). One week earlier, there will be wine festivities at the
Prague Castle as well as in Moravian
