- Špilberk castle in Brno is going to host a significant gastronomical event at the first weekend in June - the 4th year of Špilberk Food Festival is going to take place on 5th - 7th June 2015. The guests will be seduced by the renowned restaurants as well as the new dining rooms. As many as thirteen restaurants from South Moravia will introduce their cuisine. Besides a variety of delicious meals and exquisite wines, the programme also offers a sabrage show or dulcimer music. The news of this year is a special menu that will be served in the Royal Chapel of the castle. The sale of the tickets begins in the end of April. A Saturday or Sunday ticket is worth 400CZK and includes florens for meal consumption worth 200CZK. A Friday ticket will be sold for 1550CZK.

The list of restaurants that will present their gastronomy has been completed. For the first time we are going to introduce La Bouchée, restaurant Na Pekárně and SONO Restaurant.’We appreciate the new restaurants - they do not only broaden the variety for the guests but they are also the evidence that Brno is flourishing, from the gastronomy point of view. The interest from the side of restaurants is big. The capacity of the venue does not allow us to accept everyone though,’ says Marie Šotkovská, the organizer of the festival. Together with the new restaurants the proven ones are also going to participate: Boulevard restaurant, Butcher´s, Castellana Trattoria, IL Mercato, KOISHI fish & sushi restaurant, Noem Arch, restaurant Pavillon, restaurant and steakhouse Monte Bú, Ristorante Piazza and Restaurant Valoria. Every restaurant is going to offer a selection of wines that will complement their meals.
About Špilberk Food Festival
The first year of Špilberk Food Festival took place in 2012 and has risen in its popularity among the guests. It is devoted to gourmets, but it is also attractive to people who want to taste meals from restaurants they usually do not visit. "Špilberk Food Festival is not only about food, it is about a passion for cooking, it is about the art of gastronomy," describes Kateřina Bilková, the organizer of the event.
The consumption of meals and wine is paid with florens, special festival currency (1F = 25 CZK). Every ticket includes not only entry but also a certain amount of florens. Furthermore, the visitors can exchange more florens at the venue.

Saturday 11am - 9pm
Sunday 11am . 7pm
