Velké Karlovice Municipality in Zlín Region will host already 6
th year of “Karlovský Gastrofeast”. Taking place from Friday 3 October to Sunday 5 October, this unique event and feast for all gourmets and food lovers will, among other things, let its visitors discover some secrets from local, Moravian Wallachian cuisine. However, the programme offers much more, including several Gala dinners and lunches that will present renowned chefs, with Michelin star-awarded Roman Paulus in the first place, but also reputed chefs from Czech Specials certified restaurants, in particular Pavel Václavík from the
Lantern Spa Hotel and Jaroslav Orság from the
Horal Hotel. Besides, participants can be looking forward to various cooking shows or competitions in making the best Wallachian sausage or Wallachian pie, called
frgál. The event programme will mainly focus on international farmers’ market and a Gastro tour that will take its visitors for a 3,5 km long trip into beautiful landscape of the Beskydy Mountains. Its 14 stops will offer them the possibility of tasting various specialties, not only in the hotels mentioned above, but also in a Czech Specials certified restaurant the
Galik Hotel, where the visitors might taste popular pig slaughter specialties, prepared directly on the spot by a butcher. On Saturday 4 October, it will be thus possible to taste, in times indicated, freshly made bread cheese, liverwurst, blood sausage or special blood soup, as well as watch how these delicacies are being prepared.
