On Saturday 16 August, visitors of the spa town of Luhačovice might smell various local traditional delicacies, presenting meals from the past until present. Organized between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. in the premises of Lunapark (area of local minigolf), Luhačovice Food Festival invites to savour menu from five hotels, offering also rich accompanying programme. Visitors might attend a series of commented cooking, taste molecular cuisine, participate in competitions or try so called “sabrage”, opening of sparkling wine with a sword. The programme will also feature a cooking show animated by Jiří Eichner or an exhibition of historical cookery books providing interesting overview and information about cooking in the domain of Luhačovice. The event will present culinary specialties prepared by Luhačovice Resort hotels, two of them, Vyhlídka Hotel and Alexandria Spa Hotel, are Czech Specials certified hotels.
