  • Located on top of a hill between Bukovany and Ostrovánky u Kyjova municipalities, Bukovanský mlýn Hotel attracts its visitors with wonderful ambiance. The hotel premises with a real wind mill is constructed in traditional regional style of Moravian Slovakia, featuring also stylish interiors. Moreover, local Czech Specials certified The Miller’s House Restaurant offers mainly meals of Moravian Slovak and Old-Bohemian cuisine, ideally to be watered down with delicious top-quality Moravian wines. Its visitors can taste various traditionally-prepared regional specialties, such as board leg with herbs and rosehip sauce or Old-Moravian beef goulash with marjoram and garlic and lard dumplings as a side dish. The restaurant organizes various events throughout the year, offered for a limited period: the earliest one held already between Tuesday 17 March and Sunday 23 March focused on delicacies from Slovakia, including home-made smoked meat with bryndza, salted sheep curd, as first course, cabbage soup from the Orava region and bryndzové halušky, traditional potato dumplings with bryndza cheese and roasted bacon or with quark and pork rind. Other meals on the menu comprise Slovak Pörkölt (pork leg stew) or pork neck skewer “Živáňský” with potatoes gratiné. As a dessert, you may try spišské pirohy (potato dumplings) filled with plum jam and roasted bread crumbles. On Saturday 21 March visitors are invited for public wine tasting from local wine cellars, featuring also wines suitable for Slovak dishes. Wines can be also tasted with Slovak cheeses, such as korbáčiky, parenica or koliba. Come to Bukovanský mlýn to enjoy the tastes of Slovakia.
